Krishna
At the heart of Gurkha Restaurant and Bar is a dedicated team led by me, a passionate chef whose culinary journey began in Nepal. My journey in the culinary world started with a degree in Hotel Management in Nepal, followed by a move to the Netherlands in November 2010 for further studies. At Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Eindhoven, I pursued Information and Communication Technology. However, my enduring passion for food and hospitality led me to further my education in Travel and Leisure Management at INHOLLAND University of Applied Science in Amsterdam.
During my time in Amsterdam, I worked in various restaurants, gaining invaluable experience and meeting people from all over the world. In 2015, I moved to Lisbon to explore my culinary journey, bringing with me a wealth of knowledge and a deep love for cooking.
Despite challenges such as language barriers and cultural differences, my determination to share the Flavors of my homeland remained unwavering.
Bharat
Joining me in this venture is my brother, Mr. Bharat, who studied in Denmark and came to Portugal in 2016 to support me. Bharat takes care of the service department with professionalism and dedication, ensuring that every guest receives top-notch service and a memorable dining experience.
