History of Gurkha Restaurant and Bar

Gurkha Restaurant and Bar was first established on January 15, 2016, at Rua de São Bento 318, 1200-820, Lisbon. The name "Gurkha" honours the bravest Nepalese soldiers, celebrated worldwide for their bravery, who originate from the region of Gorkha, Nepal. This name symbolizes the strength and courage we strive to embody in our culinary endeavours. Our journey began with a passion for bringing the authentic Flavors of Nepalese and Indian cuisine to the heart of Lisbon. Over the years, we have delighted countless guests with our diverse menu and warm hospitality.

In response to our growing popularity, we expanded to two additional locations. In February 2020, Gurkha Restaurant and Bar II opened in Saldanha at Rua Latino Coelho 46 A, 1500-137. Following this success, we launched Gurkha Restaurant and Bar III in Campo Pequeno in May 2021. Each of our locations continues to offer the same high-quality Indian and Nepalese delicacies, making us a favourite among Lisbon residents and visitors alike.
